Hi, I’m Judy Woods

artist and founder of stARTs – a repeatable process for creating art you love regardless of experience or abilities.

I taught Art for 16 years in secondary schools before beginning my full time painting career in 2017.

When I started painting I was full of desire - but completely lost.

Although I'd spent all my adult life involved in Art in some way, I had never pursued my own. Life happened and family, children, and my career had all taken priority.

In 2016, my father passed away. I was suddenly confronted with my own mortality and realized that time was slipping by and I needed to reassess my priorities.

So in 2017 I started with urgency.

In the beginning all I knew was frustration and a million unanswered questions.

I would see glimmers of what I liked - but was it good?

I had to learn the lesson that if I liked it, even LOVED it - it was good.

And so my process of experimentation began

And this is what I’m going to share with you.

I'm not troubled by fear or self-doubt because I have a process I trust.

When I paint, I dance and sing - it's a joyful practice!

Finding peace in my creative process and trusting myself to create art I love has transformed my life. Nothing gives me greater reward than helping others to experience this same transformation in theirs.
