COLOUR CONFIDENCE

DAY 1

Laying the Foundations

Forget the overwhelm of the white canvas!  Learn how to create interest, depth and texture with your very first marks. Setting yourself up for success with freedom and play.

DAY 2

Focus: Design

Learn layering techniques with the intention of establishing strong Design.  Understanding this key principle underpins every decision you make in developing your painting.

DAY 3

The Hero Colour

Choose your Hero Colour and learn how to make it the Star!  I will teach you a method of establishing beyond any doubt what colour is the Hero in your painting.

DAY 4

Multiple Heros?

And when your Hero needs an accomplice?  Follow me as I demonstrate how to integrate Design and Colour with multiple colour Heros.

DAY 5

Strong and Subtle

The beauty of Neutrals.  Learn how to use neutral colours to add strength to your painting by creating quiet spaces, removing the 'busy' and allowing your chosen Heros to shine.

I'm Judy Woods

 

I've been teaching online for 5 years and previously in schools for 16 years - so I know how to break down something as difficult as abstract art into simple, easy to apply steps which every artist - beginner to advanced can adopt and adapt to create their own unique art.

About 10 years ago I decided to stop procrastinating and devote my time to finding out what MY ART looked like.  It wasn't easy but eventually I developed a process, understood what I loved in my work and began to make it stronger.

We start on January 26 with a Live Call on YouTube and then after the Call you're sent an email with a link to a Demonstration Video for you to follow.

Can't make the Live Call?  We'll send you a link to watch it in your own time.

By the end of the 5 days you'll have 6 paintings started, each with at least 1 Colour Hero and with my 3 Colour Confidence methods under your belt you'll understand how to make your Heros sing.

Every day there is a Live Call on YouTube where Judy will explain the process, teach about the relevant principles and answer your questions.

Guided Videos

Every day you will be sent a link to a Video for you to follow.  Each Video is accompanied by a Worksheet with written guidelines for you to keep.
